White-out On Black Mountain

THE Adriatic Sea shouldn't have looked this way, its clouds heavy with rain and the arms of a fiord creeping like veins into the karst landscape of the Balkan Peninsula. Such a scene belonged in Norway or New Zealand but this was Montenegro, the quietest of partners in the now-fragmented former Yugoslavia.
